Because He lives!!!!
We all have a favourite quote, a favourite verse, a favourite
saying or favourite words of wisdom As this day begins thought should share my favorite verse and word of
wisdom with you. Some of us probably know it, some of us are probably reading it
for the first time. Whatever the situation, I am more than glad to share it
with you. I hope that it gives you strength for the week.

1st Corinthians 10:13:
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:
but God is faithful, who will not suffer that ye are tempted above that ye are able; but will with the
temptation also make a way to escape that ye may be able to bear it.
In my few years of living, I have discovered that life is hard,
and just when you think that your experience is unbearable, someone else shares
their experience with you and you are left speechless because people have problems.
But this is for you who…. YES YOU!!!
Let us break this down slowly:
There
hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:
This simply means what you are going through at this moment of
your life, is something that someone else somewhere on earth has gone though.
You may be the first one to deal with it in your family, school nation or
church but you are not the very first person to deal with it here on earth.
Someone else has been through it.
But
God is faithful, who will not suffer that ye are tempted above that ye are
able:
This is just as it is stated, that although you are not the
first person to go through what you are going through, God knows what you can handle
and He will not allow you to go through that which you cannot bear. The only
reason why we may fail to overcome is because we fail to abide under His safe
loving arms where we can find refuge. Nothing that happens in our lives takes
God by surprise. He is the author and the finisher of our faith He knows the
end from the beginning and yes we may not be able to understand why, but in due
course He helps us understand why.
But
will with every temptation also make a way to bear that ye may bear it
God does not only ensure that He only allows us to go through
what we can bear, He also ensures that with every temptation He makes a way for
us to escape. That is the reason why we really need to abide with Him every
single moment of our lives.
That brings me to the words of this hymn

This may not seem to answer all your questions but I pray that you will find comfort reading through it
Oh Yes, Because He live you can face tomorrow.
Have a victorious week ahead will you?
Amen. Profound indeed!! Remind me, our heavenly Father measures and weighs every trial before He permits it to come upon the believer. He considers the circumstances and the strength of the one who is to stand under the proving and test of God, and He never permits the temptations to be greater than the capacity of resistance. If the soul is overborne, the person overpowered, this can never be charged to God, One may wonder why or how, well here's the reason... but the one tempted was not vigilant and prayerful and did not appropriate by faith the provisions God had abundantly in store for him. Christ never failed a believer in his hour of combat. The believer must claim the promise and meet the foe in the name of the Lord....Can we trust God fully to see us through, yes we can, Because He cares.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dorcas for the wonderful words above.
Thank you so much for reading and adding more insight. God bless you Dear
DeleteGood insight there. This means, I am not supposed to have the word impossible when faced with a temptation, except when saying impossible to fall to the temptation...
ReplyDeleteI now see the inspiration says, when faced with a challenge,a Christian is supposed see a call to prayer. This will open your eyes to see the way the Lord has opened.
Good food for thought there Dorc
Thank you so much Saul. And yes a challenge is a call to prayer. Blessings
DeleteHumbled. May God keep on the good work in you.
